Frontier Israel Offers Gap Semester to College Freshmen and Sophmores

In the wake of the pandemic, Federation partner agency the Alexander Muss Institute for Israel Education has created a gap year semester program aimed at incoming college freshman and rising sophomores attending US higher learning institutions. The inaugural session of Frontier Israel runs September 2-December 25, 2020 and will provide students with a robust service-learning experience, while encouraging them to form significant relationships with Israelis. Participants will have volunteer opportunities in the mornings, followed by studies and social activities in the afternoons and evenings. Also included is a series of seminars and educational explorations, which will enable students to discover Israel in greater depth through hiking and guest lectures. For more information, click here or contact Marni Heller at mheller@jnf.org or 212.879.9305, ext. 485.
