The Impact of the Israel Emergency Fund: Part One in a Series

With more to be disbursed in the future, about $449 million has been allocated thus far to provide help in four areas: lifeline services, medical and trauma relief, economic relief and recovery, and community resilience and rebuilding. This vital response encompasses more than 5.9 million touchpoints, impacting thousands of Israelis from diverse communities. Among the populations receiving assistance:

• 178,912 elderly men and women
• 115,063 olim (new immigrants)
• 66,696 people with disabilities
• 25,938 Holocaust Survivors

Our Federation contributed nearly $30 million toward the national collective effort. In the weeks ahead, this Federation Five newsletter will provide details on how IEF dollars are helping Israelis in each of the core areas. Click here to see the national IEF allocations to date.
