JCRC Recognized for Miami-Dade County Board of Education 


Teens Advocating Together, an ongoing partnership between Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and the NAACP, was recognized for its impact by the Miami-Dade County School Board earlier this month. The resolution, presented by School Board member Lucia Baez-Geller, highlighted the program, which brings together Black and Jewish teens in an effort to combat antisemitism and racism while empowering them to become advocates in their own communities. The initiative culminates each year with a daylong trip to Tallahassee, where the teens lobby elected officials on issues of importance to them. Teens Advocating Together will be entering its fifth year this fall and is currently reviewing applications for prospective candidates.
