Recent Olim (Immigrants) Learn Hebrew Through Ulpan

Working with our historic overseas partner, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Federation is helping recent olim (immigrants) learn the language of their new home through Ulpan. The Hebrew language program for new Israelis include five hours of intensive, immersive Hebrew-language instruction, five days a week for five months. The instructors, certified by the Ministry of Education, weave together a variety of techniques to help students improve their skills, including field trips and units on Israeli culture to enhance the learning experience.
