Passover Experience for Adults With Special Needs

Adults with developmental or physical challenges, their caregivers and family members throughout South Florida can enjoy an inclusive, virtual Passover experience. Federation's Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance (JAA) Inclusion Grant, which supports opportunities for individuals to access Jewish life and community in Miami, helped fund The Virtual Special Mitzvah Seder, developed by Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus under the guidance of Linda Witham Finkin and Rich Berger. On Tuesday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom, participants will light candles, sing songs and learn about Passover symbols. To encourage interaction, packages including a Haggadah in pictures, song sheet, plague masks and much more will be sent in advance to attendees. To RSVP, you may email specialmitzvahseder@btbrc.org. All are welcome, so please share this information. A Federation program, JAA is the Jewish community's network that links individuals with disabilities and their families to resources, services, support groups, workshops, clinics and recreational programs within the community.
