Community Shaliach Brings Israel to Miami

A warm welcome to Yehuda Michael, Miami’s new community shaliach (emissary)! Born in Ethiopia, Yehuda made aliyah at age 20, served in the Israel Defense Forces and received his master’s degree from Brandeis University and his bachelor’s degree from Hadassah Academic College. He has worked with Stand With Us Israel and was most recently employed by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Based at Federation, he will serve our community as a resource for all things Israel, helping our local Jewish organizations incorporate Israel into programs and events, assisting with Israel engagement activities, and strengthening our Miami-Yerucham partnership. “Miami has a diverse community with a strong relationship with Israel. I am excited to begin my work here and be a part of the community,” he says. Learn more about Yehuda Michael here and stay up to date on his activities through his Facebook page.
