South Florida Jewish Day School Students Compete in 6th Annual Robotics Festival

More than 160 Jewish day school students recently gathered at Scheck Hillel Community School for the 6th Annual South Florida Jewish Day School Robotics Festival. Conceived and organized by Federation subsidiary Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) and funded by the Miami-Yerucham Partnership, the Robotics Program and the Festival bring students from Miami’s diverse community of Jewish day schools and yeshivot together in their shared love of robotics to compete in various challenges and showcase what they’ve learned throughout the year. Participation grew from three schools the first year to nine schools this year. “At one of our assemblies, each student spoke about the highlights of their year [and] so many students mentioned Robotics and the Festival as being their favorite part of school,” said Avigayil Shaffren of Toras Emes Academy.
