Zachor Society Reception Raises Funds For the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach
More than 125 committed philanthropists gathered last week for the Seventh Annual Zachor Society Reception in the Miami Design District. Chaired by Andria and Javier Holtz, the evening helped raise funds to support the ongoing education programs on site at the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach and in the community at large. Dr. Edith Eva Eger, a child survivor of the Holocaust, clinical psychologist and author was the featured speaker.
The Zachor Society helps preserve the actual structure of the Memorial and keeps the memory of the Holocaust alive. Donations enable the Memorial to welcome more than 100,000 visitors annually, including 30,000 schoolchildren, free of charge. The Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach is a Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Sidney Pertnoy chairs the Committee.
