The Latin American Task Force invites the community to a commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) building, the center of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires and the deadliest antisemitic attack outside Israel since the Holocaust.

The event features Special Guest Speaker David Harris, a lifelong Jewish activist who led the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and has been described as the “Dean of American Jewish organizations.” Also in attendance will be Marcelo Gilardoni, Consul General of Argentina in Miami.

Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center invites you to join us for a special evening as we welcome special Shabbat guest speaker RESCUED HOSTAGE Luis Har, who, alongside his brother-in-law Fernando Marman, was rescued by the courageous members of the Israeli Shin Bet security agency and the elite Yamam counterterrorism unit of the police after enduring 129 days in captivity at the hands of Hamas.

The Miami-Dade Jewish Community Study is a once-a-decade study sponsored by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and conducted by the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago. The study will provide vital information on the number and makeup of Jewish households in Miami-Dade County, as well as their attitudes and needs. It will provide critical information that will help plan the future of our evolving community.
