In 2004, Holocaust Impact Theater (HIT) embarked on a mission to educate and inspire teens through the power of the arts. Now in its 19th year of production, HIT continues to provide local high school students a platform to write, produce, perform and direct original scripts dealing with timely, relevant issues of social injustice and intolerance, all with the underlying goal of promoting Holocaust education and remembrance.

This year’s show is entitled PLEDGE. The play focuses on the rise of antisemitism on college campuses.

The production boasts a team of more than 20 high school teens, each receiving 150 hours of community service for their contributions.

Beth Torah's Special Mitzvah Seder is a seder for Jewish adults with developmental or physical challenges and it is heartwarming to see them enjoy an event geared specifically for them. The seder will take place at Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, 20350 NE 26th Avenue, North Miami Beach.

Apply now for Federation’s overnight camp financial aid programs — One Happy Camper and Jewish Overnight Summer Camp Scholarships — to give your child a Jewish summer experience that’s both unforgettable and more affordable.

Recognizing that Jewish overnight camp is one of the most meaningful experiences a child can have in creating a strong and positive Jewish identity, Federation offers these two options to help offset the cost of attendance for Miami-Dade County residents. Partnering with One Happy Camper, a program of the Foundation for Jewish Camps, and Jewish overnight camps across North America, Federation provides need-blind grants of up to $1,000 to families with first-time campers who attend public school or non-Jewish private school.

If you’re interested, apply early as a limited number of grants are available. Federation is also accepting applications for our 2024 Jewish Overnight Summer Camp Scholarships for children ages 8-17 who attend public school, private school and Jewish day school or yeshiva and can demonstrate financial need.
