Nominated for four Israeli Academy Awards, this beautifully heartfelt and quietly joyous film features a breathtaking performance by Israel's renowned actor, Sasson Gabay, who stars as Shimon, a 70-year-old widower traveling from Israel to Paris to see a childhood friend. During his visit, he stays with his only daughter (Israeli rising star Sivan Levy), who lives with her husband and their infant son. As he settles in, Shimon becomes aware of the impending dissolution of their marriage. For the first time ever, Sar-El is partnering with Birthright Onward to offer an extraordinary two-week experience, uniting volunteers ages 18-40 from around the world in support of Israel. Participants will have the opportunity to directly assist Israel’s defense efforts, from organizing supplies to supporting essential logistics for the IDF.

The program includes five days of volunteering, a weekend of shared experiences and followed by five more days of volunteering back on base.

To make this experience accessible, reimbursements are available based on participants’ home country which for the US is $900.

He is a Legacy Heritage Foundation Fellow and Doctoral Candidate in the field of Education Leadership. He serves on The Jewish Agency for Israel’s Board of Governors as Chair of the Youth Aliyah & Absorption Committee, is a board member at Kol Israel, the General Zionist faction at the World Zionist Organization, and is on the board of Atchalta, a non-partisan think tank advancing social cohesion and national resilience in Israel. In addition to serving as an educator and global speaker, Rabbi Sinai consultants to agencies advancing 21st-century Israel education, leadership development, and organizational advancement.
