Description

In December,1941, Rabbi Maurice Klein, along with his wife and two young children, fled Nazi occupied Slovakia. Their story of escape, survival, and beginning a new life in a new land is one of resistance, resilience and rescue. Spend the morning Holocaust Survivor. Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenof. She will share their first –hand experiences and story of survival.

Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff, Chairperson of the Holocaust Education Committee of the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach and Miami-Dade Schools Coordinator of Holocaust Education.

Moderator David Reese is a language arts teacher in his 18th year with Miami-Dade Public Schools. Laszlo Selly is a retired professional photographer. Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff is Holocaust Education Specialist Miami Dade County Public Schools.
