A talk (to be followed by Q&A) about the Israeli/Arab conflict and the history of Israel from its establishment until today. The wars, the media hostile, the importance of having an independent Jewish state and more.
Elon Perry was an Israeli journalist who covered the Israeli/Palestinian conflict for 25 years. He served as a soldier in the Israeli army and played a crucial part during the Intifada (uprising) in the West Bank, and during the Lebanon War, where explosives damaged his respiratory system.
It would be highly interesting to hear a lecture on this subject from a former soldier who can tell stories from the battlefield, including real incidents in which Palestinians have twisted, distorted and exaggerated facts. Elon will tell the real facts as a soldier who was in those places and witnessed these incidents.
Elon has a degree in Political Science from Tel Aviv University and has lectured at several institutions around the UK and the USA including universities, schools, Synagogues, on cruise ships (Princess, Celebrity, Cunard, Fred-Olsen), at downing street, Limmud days, and more.
