Description

Francine Katz (Arline Reinhard, z”l Leadership Award) has been a member of AMIT since 1958. She is a
chapter member and founding President of the Geula Chapter in Miami Beach Florida since its inception in 1969.
Francine has been the SE Regional President, served on the National Board of Directors, Board of Governors and is currently Geula-Shalvah Chapter President. For many years, Francine and her late husband, Dr Aaron Katz z”l, would spend a month in Israel visiting AMIT schools. She speaks proudly of her experiences meeting the children and the dedicated AMIT staff.

Judith Poretsky, originally from Brooklyn and now residing in Boca Raton, became active in the Aliza
Brooklyn Chapter in 1991. Judy’s mother, Rose Saperstein, z” l, was a member of the Mizrahi Women’s Business and Professional Chapter beginning in 1962.

Rita and Dr. Eugene Schwalb from Passaic New Jersey and Deerfield Beach Florida who have been passionately
supporting AMIT for over 45 years. Rita was the editor of the AMIT national magazine for seven years. She then
went on to become the president of the Golda Meir Chapter of Deerfield Beach and edited its newsletter. She
continues to be an active member of the chapter and a member of the Florida Council. The Schwalbs’ are President
Circle members and recently dedicated a Sefer Torah and Beit Knesset at the AMIT Sderot Religious Junior and
Senior High Schools in honor of Eugene’s second Bar Mitzvah.
