Description

In the spirit of giving inspired by the Jewish New Year, The Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation, a family-run charitable organization dedicated to creating a generational legacy of giving, will help to triple any donations made to the Chabad Southside, a Jewish Life Center in Jacksonville, FL over the next 15 hours. The Finker-Frenkel family is dedicated to a life of philanthropy, and their support over the years have helped to establish Chabad Southside as an essential part of the local Jewish community.

Spearheaded by Dr. Lazar Finker, founder of the Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation and Rabbi Shmuli, founder of Chabad Southside, matchers will triple donors’ gifts to ensure the continued success at Chabad at UNF, the Ganeinu Preschool, and all of the other exciting services, programs and activities at Chabad Southside. A $100 gift will effectively become $300. Matchers include: the Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation, Moshe & Lillian Tabacinic, and Ryan and Dinie Shapiro.

“It has been an honor to watch as Chabad Southside has grown over the years,” said Lazar Finker, Founder of the Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation. “We are deeply grateful for the support received in growing this project as we aim to foster education and engagement in our local Jewish community.”

Support will benefit students at Chabad at UNF looking to engage with peers at the new facility, which is designed to be a home away from home promoting a combination of fun activities, educational classes and philosophical discussions. Additionally, gifts will contribute to programming at the Ganeinu Preschool, which provides a strong Jewish foundation for young students to learn about and connect with Judaism. Donations toward the Chabad of Southside Center will benefit the community immensely as the center organizes Shabbat services, holiday programming, Jewish lifecycle events, as well as adult education and outreach.
