The gala along with a campus discussion led by Amar'e Stoudemire kicks off Diversity University, a program that will connect the Jewish and African American students on campus at FIU through a variety of programs that grow the bond between the two minority groups, educate one another on culture, and create an atmosphere by which students can thrive together. Diversity University will unify theJewish and African-American students on campus with allied learning and community building through interdisciplinary workshops and seminars. Program highlights will include a Fact Finder trip to Israel for campus leaders, a scholarship forAfrican-American students to study History/Diaspora, and an opportunity to learn about social justice in Israel. Your support will help Hillel and The Amar’e Stoudemire Foundation offer opportunities for the next generation to create lasting legacies by strengthening bonds of community and providing access to higher education.
