Description

Can you tahdig it? If you've never had tahdig, a crispy Persian rice dish, it's a buttery, saffron-scented rice pilaf encased in a crunchy golden shell, and a delicious addition to your Shabbat table. Learn to make it with Jake as we gather in community to welcome Shabbat.

@jakecohen is Editorial Director at the FeedFeed, OneTable Board Member, all around nice Jewish boy and upcoming cookbook author of Jew-Ish as he preps Shabbat dinner and styles his table for a beautiful Shabbat dinner.

Want to cook along with Jake? Recipe available here. You'll need:

3 cups basmati rice, rinsed
2 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt, divided
1/4 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads, crushed
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1 cup whole yogurt
