Matching Gifts

Did you know that many companies will match employees’ donations to charitable causes? Because the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is a social service, not-for-profit organization, your company may match your donations — making your gift go further and be more impactful. Donations may include monthly payroll deductions, as well as annual gifts. Read more.

Emergency Campaigns

When crises (natural disasters, war, acts of terrorism, etc.) demand extra attention, Federation is there to help, in both the Jewish and secular communities. Federation absorbs all administrative costs associated with emergency campaigns so that 100% of funds collected go directly to help victims and their families. Join our email list and be one of the first to know about these opportunities to help others.

Supplemental Giving

Supplemental gifts are based on donor desires, as well as in support of needs that exist beyond the scope of the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. To learn how you can establish a gift that addresses specific areas of interest, please contact our Director of Philanthropic Initiatives at MajorGifts@JewishMiami.org or 786.866.8453.

Teen Giving

Federation offers a number of meaningful programs that help pre-Bar/Bat Mitzvah teens give back to their community through fun service projects. Young Lion of Judah, Super Sunday — Federation’s largest annual phonathon, which takes place in conjunction with Good Deeds Day — and J-Serve, an international day of service for Jewish teens, are just a few of the opportunities open to teens. For more information, contact Volunteer@gmjf.org or 786.866.8412.

Gifts of Securities

A transfer of appreciated securities held more than one year may provide you with significant advantages. You will get double the benefit of an income tax charitable deduction based on the full value of your appreciated securities, in addition to not paying capital gains tax. Check with your financial professional or contact Foundation@JewishMiami.org or 786.866.8627 for more information.

IRA Donations

A transfer of an IRA account may have tax advantages for those age 70½ and older. Through the Charitable IRA Rollover, you can transfer up to $100,000 directly from your Individual Retirement Account to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. This counts toward your minimum required distribution and is not taxable. Check with your financial professional or contact Foundation@jewishmiami.org or 786.866.8627 for more information.

Donate Your Vehicle

Your donation of an automobile, truck or boat can go far to help those in need. Call toll-free 866.985.GIVE (4483) or click here for an online donation form.
